Hello, my name is Matthew Ryan and I am a Los Angeles based stylist.
Fashion, for many people, can be intimidating. After all, the fashion industry is an industry that often appears to be more exclusive than inclusive. However, what most people do not realize is that fashion can be, and should be, fun.
And that is exactly what I do as a stylist. I make fashion fun. Over the last five years I have worked in the retail industry, and have helped numerous men and women in Southern California avoid a nervous breakdown by finding clothes that are flattering to their figures, as well as their wallets. It’s my job to stay updated with trends and to help my clients look their absolute best for any occasion. However, now that I have graduated from college, I am looking to become one of the top Los Angeles based freelance stylists. Because my life is consumed by all things fashion, I thought it would be great to not only share my journey, but to also have a dialogue with other fashionistas about what is going on in the fashion world.
Even in these tough economic times it is still possible to stay on trend without hurting your budget. And that’s exactly what I intend on discussing here. I want to talk about what the current trends are, how to get the looks for less and where to get them from. Because at the end of the day, style isn’t about a label or how how much a person spends. Style is about a look and how that look can make a person feel glamourous.
